Praxis_camp

The Praxis Camp is a three-day residential space for shared study and collective work. Building on discussions around labour, monopoly, and value chains, the camp deepens our engagement with capitalist crisis, credit systems, international political economy, and imperialism. These themes are approached not as an abstract theory, but as tools to understand how power, work, and resources are organised in everyday life.

We are doing this because contemporary economic, social, and ecological crises are often treated as isolated failures or temporary disruptions. In reality, they are structurally produced. Without a shared understanding of these processes, community work risks becoming fragmented, reactive, or reduced to short-term problem solving. The Praxis Camp aims to create a space for collectively studying these dynamics and situating our work within a broader political and economic context.

The key outcome of the camp is the development of the Commons Work Stack, a shared framework for activities within the Commons Collective community centres. This toolkit translates political understanding into concrete, repeatable forms of collective work. By the end of the camp, participants will have aligned on a common orientation, clarified priority activities, and built a foundation for sustained, locally rooted collective practice beyond the camp itself.
